| The SLVFD is proud to announce the creation of an "Official" Facebook page. The page is located at
http://www.facebook.com/SaranacLakeVolunteerFireDepartment
We love our website and the website will remain a primary source of information about the SLVFD and it will also remain the primary portal for members to enter the password protected area, but, Facebook will give us the ability to push forward interesting news about the SLVFD and most importantly Emergency Information!!!
We are asking anyone living in the Saranac Lake response area to please "like" our page. Doing so will allow us to push information to you in the event we need to.
A great example of the type of information we may need to push forward for instance is when we had the spring of 2011 floods our website had pertinent community and emergency information about the floods. It was a great resource for those who were aware that the information was on the website, but, we relied on people actually going to the website. By liking our facebook page you will be in the loop because we will be able to proactively make announcements and even direct you to the website should the need arise.
Of course other interesting SLVFD news will be available also.
So how can you help? Simple please share this article on your own facebook page and then go to http://www.facebook.com/SaranacLakeVolunteerFireDepartment and like our page, please comment on your own page asking your friends to do the same.
The SLVFD is committed to public safety!!! It helps when we can stay in touch with you!!! |
