The holiday season is upon us, and so is our desire to help our community...

Holiday helpers is a great organization that helps families in need by ensuring children have a great holiday and no child goes without presents.

We ask any and all who are able to please make a donation of an unwrapped present for a child in need.

For many years the SLVFD has hosted a drop off place and time for your generous donation of unwrapped toys and delivered them to the Holiday Helpers who in turn deliver them to the families.

It is truly heartwarming to watch the toys roll in and the pile of toys grow bigger and bigger. Our community is very special!!!

On Saturday November 25th our doors will be open from 10:00am to 2:00pm to receive the presents. During this time firefighters will be on hand decorating the fire house. Your firefighters as well as representatives from the Holiday Helpers Organization will be visiting with those who stop by. Holiday Helpers is extremely grateful for all donations.

This year Holiday Helpers has received requests for holiday assistance from in excess of 85 families which include more than 175 children. Our community and your SLVFD will be there to help.
