December 1, 2022

We hope everyone is excited to see Santa! This years lighted Santa Parade is bringing in first responders from throughout our area, as well as other entrants who wish to participate. All of whom will be competing for best decorated truck.

This friendly competition began several years ago, but the pandemic put us on hold for 2020 and 2021. Santa still came by fire truck, but the larger parade had to be put on hold. This year we are back in full force. The last parade was held in 2019.

Enjoy the below video of the 2019 parade to get an idea of what this event is all about.

Trucks are coming from the SLVFD, Paul Smiths Gabriels VFD, Bloomingdale VFD, Lake Placid VFD, Duane VFD, Saranac Lake EMS, Tupper Lake EMS, Lake Placid EMS, and the Adirondack Regional Airport and hopefully a few more surprises.

Agenda and Best Viewing: (See attached Flier)

The best place to view the parade will be anywhere along Broadway and Main Street from Bloomingdale Avenue to the town hall with activities planned at Berkley Square.

The trucks along with Santa will pass the firehouse at approximately 6:00pm and will proceed along the parade route. They will return and deliver Santa to Berkley square shortly thereafter.

While at Berkley Square Santa will help light the Christmas Tree and the awards for best truck will be presented.

There will be a choir and a sing along at Berkley square and cookies and hot chocolate are being provided.

Santa will then make his way to the Saranac Lake Free Library (downstairs) and Santa will visit with children and allow photo's from 7:00pm to 9:00pm

We can't wait to show off our trucks, escort Santa, and help light up Saranac lake
