Due to the COVID pandemic our usual lighted fire truck Santa parade will not happen this year. That will not dampen our spirits or Holiday Cheer. We just have to think a little differently, Santa is still going to parade through town on lighted fire trucks we just have to be very careful to do it in a way that promotes safety and proper social distancing.

This year instead of the large gathering downtown, in order to promote social distancing Santa will drive through specific neighborhoods on different routes on two separate evenings. Children will be able to see Santa as he rides with the fire department in a lighted truck.

On Friday December 4th the planned route of travel for Santa will include the civic center, Fairview Ave, Olive Street, Saranac Lake high school, Lake Street, Birch Street, Sears parking lot, Margaret Street, Elm Street, Park Avenue, and Old Military Road.

On Saturday 5th the planned route of travel for Santa will include Pine Street, circle around Moody Pond, Franklin Ave, Shepard Ave, Pontiac Street, Slater Avenue, Edward Street, Duprey Street, Main Street and Sears parking lot.

On both of these nights Santa will depart the firehouse at 6:00pm and announcements as to the route and progress of travel will be posted on our facebook page.

Folks waiting to see Santa are asked to social distance, if your street is not on our route we ask that you find an open space on one of the streets we will be traveling or in one of the larger area’s such as the civic center, Sears parking lot or the high school.

It is our hope that area children will enjoy a visit from Santa, We can’t wait to see you along Santa’s parade route...
