Ken McLaughlin joined the Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department on June 6, 1966. 50 years of service is an incredible achievement but Ken has not only completed 50 years, he has done so as one of the most active members of the department. Ken currently serves as the SLVFD's Dive Captain. One of the most amazing achievements is that even with this many years of service Ken was just recognized as the number 1 responder at our recent banquet for having responded to the most fire calls during the 2015-2016 response year.

Ken's public service career both in the SLVFD and in his paid law enforcement career is impressive to say the least and will be the feature of an upcoming member spotlight on this website. Ken will also be honored as the Grand Marshall for the 2016 lighted fire truck parade, which will be followed by an award ceremony honoring Ken.

If you see Ken please take the time to say congratulations and thank you for 50 years of dedicated service to the SLVFD and our community.
