On May 9th, 2015 the Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department held its 3rd Annual fund raiser Golf Tournament at the Saranac Inn Golf Club. 116 golfers and 29 teams played in this 4-person scramble on a beautiful spring day. Player’s had chances to win prizes on the course thanks to High Peaks Ford sponsoring hole in one contest’s that included a brand new 2015 Ford Mustang. There were also prizes for men’s and women’s longest drive and closest to the pin.

At the completion of the round, golfers came back to the club house to enjoy a delicious pig roast BBQ meal prepared by Chris and Missy Blanchard (Cuing with Chris). Once the score cards were tallied, 1st place in the Tournament went to the Colby team with a score of 62, who’s players included Rhett Colby, Cory Reid, Phil Perry and Tony Blair. There was a tie for 2nd and 3rd place that was broken by going to the score cards. 2nd place went to the Gordon Pratt team and 3rd place went to the Niederbuhl Bros team, both with scores of 63. There were numerous prizes handed out as a result of the on-course contests and a Chinese Auction. All prizes were generously donated. A 50/50 raffle winner was also drawn. This fund raising tournament would not have been possible without the support of all the golfers and numerous sponsors.
