The SLVFD would like to thank the Easter Bunny and all the children who came to visit today. We would like to especially thank Nice and Easy Grocery Shoppes and Subway for co-sponsoring our event. Nice and Easy and Subway were nice enough to provide refreshments, Easter eggs, and trinkets for those in attendance.

Approximately 200 children lined up throughout the day, some in full Easter dress to have pictures taken with the Easter Bunny. Each child received a 4" x 6" photo free of charge provided by the SLVFD.

In addition to the Easter Bunny event, the SLVFD was also participating in Recruit NY. Recruit NY is a statewide recruiting effort held each April sponsored by the Fireman's Association of the State of New York. Firefighters were on hand to discuss volunteer opportunities in the SLVFD with those interested in becoming volunteer firefighters.

We had a great day today visiting with our community and sharing in Easter Bunny fun. We would like to wish everyone a very happy Easter!!!
