| On Saturday August 7, 2010 the Red Nights - Franklin and Clinton County Chapter held a motorcycle rally to raise money for fire prevention for both counties. The Red nights stopped by at the Saranac Lake fire house for a little visit. SLVFD did their part to help out by providing the riders of nearly 50 motorcycles with lunch. Following the visit the Red Knights were provided a fire truck escort through the village.
The Red Knights International Firefighters Motorcycle Club Mission Statement is:
To promote motorcycle safety.
To project a positive image of motorcycling.
To enjoy the fraternity of FireFighters.
To engage exclusively in social, charitable and educational activities directed at increasing the general understanding of, enjoyment of, competency, sportsmanship and participation in the sport of Motorcycling.
