Daffest is Saranac Lake's Daffodil Festival exploding with Blooms, Events, Fun and Food! One of those fun events is the Daffest Derby. Each year this event becomes bigger and better.

This year the SLVFD provided 10 members, Misc. 349, a soapbox derby car and a driver to assist in the fun.

The Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department joined with Bloomingdale Volunteer Fire Department and helped transport the derby cars up Lapan highway to the start of the course. SLVFD Misc. 349 and Bloomingdales Misc. 127 stayed busy moving derby cars.

SLVFD's secret weapon was driver Storm D'Ambro who drove the SLVFD car.
